So I've been wanting some new style hook wiper arms
So I can use the newer better blades. I made a pair from some 90's Cherokee and I believe it was an 89 Caravan. Either way they were ok but I made them about 3/4" too short.
After doing a little research I found that there are only about 4 different pivots industry wide. So I was watching some Netflix series last night where one of the characters has a mid 90's Ford pickup. It takes place in Seattle so I got a good look at the wipers and they looked like what I needed. So off to the U Pull It yard where I found a set on a 95 F150. They are just about perfect length but need a little tweaking. Check out the pics, very simple and now any modern wiper blade will go right on. You have to give them just a little more angle and give them a little arch towards the windshield.
I still need to prep and paint them.

I have lots of the later style "J" hook wipers off the late 1st gens if anyone really needs them.
I use them to upgrade from the pin style wiper arm.
T-cows is right many of the later 1st gen came with them stock from the factory.

I didn't know the 93's came with them. A one year only deal is still going to be hard to find for most people. There are plenty of mid 90's Fords around in the salvage yards though. lol

I don't think they even charged me for the arms at the U Pull It yard.

Rock auto has them for $16. each. I'm going to order them and try them out to see how well they fit.
Had the passenger side "pin" lose half of the wiper today, so flopping around is what I witnessed on the ride home.
See how "new" ones work out.

Hey, AJ can those Ford ones be lowered more by rotating it at the linkage hub? I like my wipers close to the bottom of the windshield, so I'm curious if those can be, and still pivot level at the blades.
