Several members here have done it. It's expensive, but it is without argument the final word for (reasonable) manual tranny swaps.

I think my brother has about 3500.00 in the parts.starter,Motorplate, flywheel clutch asembly.clutch pedle, master cylinder, slave cylinder,He traded the 241LD transfercase and some money for a 205 case from a getrag.I shorten the rear drive shaft 1.5 in. front work out good stock. We had to put a twin disk clutch in Single bronze button clutch wouldn,t hold no more.this past week end we went on a 900 mile round trip we got 23mpg. the old automatic in od I think he was getting about17mpg 3.54 rearends.before the new clutch old one slipping on the dyno was 334hp 802tq.

I did the swap into my 92 2WD it is in these forums on I believe on 7-30-03.
I love it. the engine adapter was about $170 from Dodge, starter about $180 from Napa. clutch is a ralley, south bend Aprox. $400. Clutch hydraulics about $145 You have to use the 92 master and the 94up hose and slave. you will have to cut the hard plastic hose and heat it up a touch and push it onto the first gen master fitting. I bought the shifter and **** from Dodge, you may find them at a wrecking yard though. drive shaft mods are definate. the shifter hole in the floor is about 6" back from the getrag. I put an NV4500 in my 4WD truck and its shift hole is about the same spot as the 6 speed.
all this is off the top of my head.
Good luck and enjoy.

We bought every thing fom the back motor to the NV5600 & tranfercaseincluding starter from a wecked truck a lot cheaper than a salvage yardEven got the driveshafts thrown in on the deal for 2600.00.We got the 94 up master and slave kit from the dealer worked out good.

Amen on the six speed over the old getrag let's face it puting more power than stock to. The old getrag 360 and hoping it will last is . I love my 1st gen but not so much the stock trans I my self choose an nv4500 over the 5600. Don't get me wrong the 5600 is stronger and realy shines towing and sled pulling. But dose'nt sift as smooth or as quick as the 4500 on the street an drag racing.
