My truck did that, it had an injection pump that was on recall. Local dealership replace it at no cost. This recall involves some 91 and 92 models. Do a search here at DTR for more info.

Is this on the same engine you couldn't get to start a few months back? What ended up being the problem there? Could be related.
When you say it wants to run way what do you mean? It's going all the way to defuel or it's going up to x,xxx rpm?

no this is a diff motor
one day i went out to start the truck turn the key and when it start it went up to like 1800rpm and then shut off so i hit the key again same thing so i hit the key the third time and started and as it came down from the high rpm i gave it some fuel kept it running but i have to go up to about 2k rpm to keep it running smooth anthing under that rpm it sounds like a fuel car running rev up and down nothing has changed on the truck

Something in the governor is hanging up. Either the governor sleeve on the shaft or the metering sleeve on the plunger shaft.

Or the governor weights are getting stuck in the governor hub.
