Might as well give it a shot. Look up some tech articles and go for it.

Rebuild it and write your own tech article. It would at least help me out!

I say just replace it. I got mine off E-bay for about $100. Swapped it in in a couple hours. Didn't even consider trying to rebuild it.

I bought a rebuild kit for fifteen dollers. There are a lot of pieces parts but the instrutions are pretty good. I got it to replace the seal and bearing around the input shaft. Money is always tight these days and it is major factor. I went thru two rebuilt boxes before I got this one and still had to do repairs on it. IF there is a next time, I am willing to buy a new box and not get somebody elses problems.

Whichever you decide keep us posted. My power steering works a bit upon startup but is barely detectable when twisting around later on. Of course I do appreciate the upper body and arm development that's resulted from "armstrong steering" but I druther do that pulling on wrenches.

I'd replace it. There are a bunch of little ***** in there that have to go back in in the correct order.

If it's just leaking then I say rebuild it, if it's not producing pressure and if full of fluid, make sure the pump is working and replace the gear and lines.

So far sooo good. My unit didn't leak after i put in new in-put seal. replaced the coupler unit too. It just had to much play then it would kind of hang when turned to the right. I found this on inter.net. dodgeram.org/tech/repair/index.html Followed instructions,,but i didn't take gear box off my truck, just took power hoses off , jacked front wheels off the ground set pre-load by the inst., took steering wheel cover off , put tork-wrench on steering nut to set pre-load. The PO had the allen screw run down to far , which made steering to tight, i screwed it up all the way , then loose& tighten until all the play was gone, then loosened it off a little at a time till it felt like my d350, so far sooo good.I hope its right ,saved 150.00-200.00 bucks& i learned something about our trucks.
