That bracket was used as the radiator support cushion mount in the 1970's.

Haha. Just goes to show how truly little the changed. Speaking of which I have read on a couple of other conversions that the bolts on the front of the leaf packs changed size from our 80s crews to the nineties. I put a tape on the bolt and they appears to have the same size. These guys were then cutting off the hangers and replacing, this just doesn't seem necessary. Can't the hole just be drilled out or a different sized bolt used?

The front/front spring bolt size changed in 1992. When I scrapped my donor truck it had the larger mounting hole with a 1/2" bolt stuck through it. The front/rear bolts remained the same size at 1/2" in both cases.
