Questions about swapping buckets for bench
I've got a 1993 crewcab with the bucket seats and console setup and I want to swap to a bench. Will it just bolt in or will I need to drill new holes, make mounts, etc.?
Also, my interior is grey; can I get a new grey seatcover for the inevitable red bench seat I find?

If i was you, I'd look for a decent 3rd gen 40-20-40 from a local junkyard. Not a real complicated mod, and there's a couple of write ups of how-to's in here. I put one in mine & it was worth every penny.

It's pretty simple to do. I have both types of seats for my truck (93 D350)and swap them out when I need additional seating capacity. My truck orginally had buckets, bought a bench for the same year and the bench bolts right in. Be carefull not to lose your hadware though.

3rd gen seats fit excellent in a reg cab if you have a welder. Mine are from a 2008. My friend is 6'5" with no problems and they are power height adjustable. Lots of room. Got them for $250 and threw the bench in the trash.

Nice. Those make mine look ghetto. There's a really good thread on here about how to. Basicly, you heat & bend the front legs, put some 2-3" spacers under them, cut the rear feet off and reweld them on the corners. It just takes a couple of hours if you own or have access to a small welder, an angle grinder, & some basic tools.
