KRB is close; maybe he and I should split a drum.
I bought it several years ago, don't remember what I paid for it. Heck, for that matter, I dont even know if that distributor is still around. I hope so, because he would take the sales tax off the purchase if I paid cash. Several hundred I paid I am sure. Its still half full, so I haven't bothered pricing a new one out yet, but I am sure it has gone up with everything else. You have to go through a distributor and it is a special order item, IIRC. If you and some buddies are close by, you are better off splitting the cost of a drum than buying bottles at Wal-Mart.

I also buy Rotella by the drum, but that I can get at certain Sams Clubs. Then I fill up my gallons and quarts from the drum. I haven't bought one of them for a long time but you could save about $80 over the cost of buying 55 gallon bottles. I still have two drums I haven't even broken open, so I am not even thinking about buying more now. Those drums are back from the cheap oil days, I gave $299 for each 55 gallon, I just checked the Sams website and its up to $569 a drum now. That was a good investment, in hindsight.

I use my old bottles to measure as well. I also keep a bottle of Diesel 911 handy...It gets way cold between Denver and Steamboat and there aren't too many spots to ask for help.
