Planning: Turbo/injector upgrade

As probably many of you have been, I am baffled by the amount of information on turbo chargers and injectors for these trucks that is out there. ....A little background, trucks a 91, non-ic, auto, and I bought it purposely to be a weekend warrior. Transmission will be a problem, but forget about that, iv got plans there. Truck currently has the pump turned up, fuel pin, gov spring, water meth, and a WH1C turbo. I'm planning this course of events out so hopefully I purchase everything one time, and by the time the turbo lands on my door step, I have everything I need. I'd really like to get this truck making a solid 400hp.

Iv been window shopping for turbos, and I keep finding myself falling back on Borgwarners s363, 63/68/.82 (14cm t3)
I guess my question here would be, What else should I be looking into if the S363 has my attention?

Is anyone here running the s363 or s362 on there non ic 1st Gen with WM? How high are the egts?

What size injectors are guys running on these 62 (63)/68/14? Iv heard 5x12, 5x14, 6x14, 7x14...

I have many plans for the hotrod, but like most my biggest problem is money. I want everything, and I want it now lol. But I know I can't afford it all right now. The water meth and gauges just went in the truck last week, and I plan to add an intercooler to the mix in the near future, although I would like to do the turbo first if at all possible. My next purchase, following the recent gauges and WM, I am planning to do injectors.... here's a newbie question for you...

If I purchased injectors next, could I run those (say 5x14) injectors with my current WH1C untIL the new turbo is purchased down the road, without problems? I'm sure it's gunnar smoke, and have high egts, but could the pump be tuned down enough to accommodate those injectors for the time being?

Let me shorten that life story....

Anyone running the s363 on there first gen?

I'm currently looking at the, lesser expensive, s363 non gated with the .82 t3. Is the gate greatly needed, or could I get away with it for now and maybe add an external down the road?

What size injectors would you recommend for a 63/68/14?

Your truck isn't going to forget about your plan for turbo and injection nozzle upgrades before a trans upgrade. The first thing your going to destroy going the route you have chosen is shattering your flexplate in a dozen pieces. So if money is a limiting factor you'll have your 400 horsepower and shortly after that a truck that has no forward or reverse.

Yup, I completely understand that. That's why I said forget about the transmission, only talking engine components at this time. I have access to a 47rh which will be going in the truck. Just looking for information on this turbo and injector combination at this time

I think a 62/68 SXE would be your best turbo. Your stock injectors will do 400 hp.

I put the motor out of my 91 in my 93, its I/C'd now, with HE351CW turbo, 3200 spring and fuel pin. When I did the swap I had it to runaway in the shop, I backed it off 1.5 turns. On my 1st test drive in 4th at 50 I could blow past my clutch no prob(new sach type) Figure I was somewhere close to 350. Once I get the new 400hp clutch in I'll turn it back up and dyno it. So ya the non I/C injectors rock.
