Piston Pump Regulator Spring?

Hi folks, this is my first post! I have a 93 W250 with the stock lift pump. I want to go to the more reliable and higher flow piston pump and have probably read everything about the upgrade that I can find on the net.. twice. I now know that I don't want to use a pressure regulator on the 2nd gen pump and I don't want the super cheapo low low pressure version that seems to be the only version of part 3936320/4988751 that I can find. That leaves me with the option of getting a high pressure 2nd gen pump and then changing out the spring. The only leads on this option I have been abe to find, so far, is the pre-modified pump at Hungry Diesel for $185 or their regulator spring for $50 plus a cheaper pump. Fifty bones seems a bit steep for just a spring so I started looking for another source. I found: http://www.jegs.com/i/BD-Diesel/151/...d=#moreDetails But I have no idea if this will fit. Can anyone help? Thanks!

There is a low pressure high volume mechanical lift pump. It takes a spacer and a new fuel line to run it, along with a minor mod to the push rod cover. I run this set up and it works great

Ok I found some useful info in this thread-- http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/94...ing-mod-2.html the posts by kyle41005 sort of specify the spring size. Any thoughts on what the stock spring rate is or how this translates to output psi? I am looking for 12 psi and no more than 15 psi. My truck is close to stock.

Nothing wrong with the Delphi pump. It supported my 7X.010s and big turbo to 3200RPM with no fall off.

I bought my complete kit from OFI (oregon fuel injection) About 3 years ago. Delphi pump, spacer, and gaskets....about $80. Have not had any problems.
