One ton tailgate light measurements....

OK as requested here are the pics, and measurements I took off a 1992 Cummins D350 reg cab dually tailgate. The tailgate was damaged, but in great shape.

So if you want to install lights in the correct location, here are all the pics, and measurements you will need o make it look factory correct.

Measurements for the light mounting is a .865" hole in the middle, with an outer spacing of the screws set at 3".

You can see the hole with the small body plug right under neath it. That is the dead center light. The center of that light is set at the exact middle of the tailgate.

And the hole, and notch required for the wiring to pass through. This is on the LH side of the tailgate.

Guess just in case these photos disappear there should be some hard text measurements.

There are 5 lights. The middle of the center light is placed in the exact center of the tailgate. Then the next two lights, to the left and right of the center light are placed 7.5" center to center.

The final two lights are placed 22" center to center off the last two that were installed. So about 29.5" center to center off the 1st light.

Wow..
That hurts about as bad as backing up with your door open and snagging a fire hydrant.
