need ideas on what to check ,, my 91 4/4 drops out of o/d in about a second or so as soon as i let off throttle even when i,m doin 70 or more,, then as soon as i push on the peddle it goes back into o/d. if i just barely keep the throttle open it won't drop out... ideas please,,,,,,,, thanks

Sounds like a throttle position sensor problem. Do a search for TPS problems and spend an evening reading the many ways this can aggravate you! Sometimes a simple adjustment can cure this, some guys have replace this with a potentiometer.

Try adjusting the TPS first, if that does not fix it then you will need to replace it. There is info in the sticky about adjusting as well as your options on replacing it, so I will not repost all that here.
