I will definitely have to look at that. I think my new favorite way of getting a 23 spline NP205 to work with a manual is to get an adapter sleeve from Second Hand Smoke Diesel. Some say the input on he NP205 won’t hold up, but with as hard and expensive as 29 spline cases are to find I am very tempted to get one.

I looked into going that route for my NP205 and NV4500 when I did the 4wd conversion, but factoring in the cost of the adapter and a rebuild kit anyway for the TC I found it was almost a wash compared with the costs of a new 29 spline input shaft and coupler and machining of the case and adapter. When I was done I was into my conversion for around $400-$500 and have a set-up I know will last behind the NV4500.

I would convert my 23 spline NP205 to 29 before going with one of those adapters.

So I am kind of wanting to sell the current transfer case and transmission. I already have had people asking me if I was selling it. So I have been looking at advanced adapters website and they have a kit hat converts any NP205 to a 29 spline input, and a female input for the nv4500 at that. On there it says that the 32 spline NP205 doesn’t need machined. So doesn’t that mean the bearing is the same size on the 32 spline gm NP205 as the 29spline? I might go that route if it is.

Yes there is a GM big bearing NP205....you'll still need to machine your adapter to clear the larger bearing and snap ring and larger seal.
