non IC radiator

where is the best place you guys have found to get a non IC radiator?? I would like to put in a crossflow, but i dont know what is involved. Give me some options

Napa quoted me $520 to directly replace ole leaky. 2 row. I would like better than stock for that price, and i question the quality of thier replacement anyway.

What do ya'll think??

They run about 3-400 on ebay. You can stick in a crossflow. Just will need to go to a junkyard to find the shroud. You might have to make some minor adjustments to the core support to mount it, but itd be worth it and probably cheaper than another downflow.

You would also have to change the upper neck or the lower neck to the opposite side of the radiator..................

You might want to go to your local rad shop and see how much they would want to recore and possibly increase the size of the cores. If you find a good one they might be able to increase it to 3 or 4 rows.

If you're having one recored, have them put a baffle under the inlet to encourage the coolant to flow through the whole core. The way it is set up from the factory the coolant all runs down the right side of the radiator.

The previous owner of mine swapped my radiator out for a crossflow from a 70's Nova from a junk yard. It doesn't look like there was much modification involved and it works very well.

Is this what you are looking for?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TODAY.m238.lVI
I'm in need of a radiator cause I've got a leak between the bottom tank and the core. How much better are the crossflows? And is the one on ebay trustworthy for that cheap?

Crossflows are a bit better, and help if you ever go intercooled.

I was going to ask why they are a bit better, but looking at a picture I can see why they would be. Why would they help if you go intercooled?

They are narrower (tons) than the downflow, allowing the intercooler to fit better. Im about to install an intercooler and I have to notch out right up to the radiator to get it to fit.

The radiator cap is on the bottom(radiator is upside down) the mounts our for a 2nt gen, and i don't know what then wing looking mounts are for

O and the passanger side tank, wouldn't fit any Dodge Diesel truck
