no start after fuel-pin O-ring, throttle-shaft O-ring, and "366" spring

hello to this great forum! my name is bill and i have been lurking for quite a while. my rig is a 91.5, and it is my first diesel (i have been spinning wrenches on dodge trucks for well over 20 years though!). so, i got tired of fuel leaking out the AFC vent, and i pulled the top of the pump off to replace the culprit O-ring. and ive been wanting to do the spring, and since i was there it was a good time. before i tore into it, i read, and re-read everything i could find on the procedure. i believe i am up to speed on it. but i now have a "no-start" condition. i have checked and double checked everything. i even pulled it all back apart and started over. same results. i have checked the index on the throttle lever probly 6 times. (i marked the shaft well before i pulled the lever off!) and i have even tried to bleed the injectors, but from all my reading, i dont believe i should have to bleed them after pulling the top off the pump? should i? i am now at a loss due to my lack of diesel knowledge can anybody give me some direction to get my PIG fired up?

thanks for the welcome! yep, fuel shut off. there are two wires connected to it. one of the connectors is worn out (lost its grip). i was cranking the engine with my remote start button, standing next to it. i reached down there to wiggle the wires, and as soon as i touched it she fired right off! scared me actually LOL. and because of the new spring, and a little tweak to the fuel screw (i didnt even bottom the collar though) she was screamin at idle. i backed the low idle screw all the way out, and it was still to high. i had to back the fuel screw back out a little to get the idle acceptable. and i think its still a little high. truck feels totally different to drive though. still got some tweakin' to do to get it right yet.

Welcome to the board. Glad it was an easy fix.

You might need to re-index your throttle lever to bring your RPM's down, and still run the fuel screw in farther.

honestly, im pretty stoked right now. the spring was a big surprise. i didnt realize it was gonna affect the entire power-curve. thing feels like a rocket now with just the spring, and half turn on the screw! ive got plenty of power to tide me over till i get caught up on my MANY other projects on the to-do list. first of which is paint. here is a link to my build: http://ramchargercentral.com/mopar-t...ast-rig!!/200/
