no more stack!!! :(
Hi everybody,
I took the stack off a couple of weeks ago, I finally got around to taking some pics of my new 5" exhaust i home built for my 92'.Tell me what you guys think. The stack was pretty loud in the cab where this is more reasonable. Its a 4" down pipe about 20 inchs long and then right into 6 feet of straight 5" pipe then mandrel bent pipe welded together up and over the axle with a piece of chrome 5" i cut off the stack when i put it on originally.
Here is a couple of pics
one up close

And one without the stack

While a lot of folks think you've lost your mind... I totally understand! I yanked the stack last year (to facilitate a camper cover) in favor of running it under the truck.
The drone from the stack on the highway bordered on ridiculous and now I can actually hear the radio or carry a conversation without "Huh? What'd you say?"

the truck looks sharp and i bet it sounds awsome with the 5" exhaust. i put my 6" turnouts on my truck at the beginning of the week and love them. i just came back from a trip and after over an hour on the road at 80-85 the drone wasn't too bad and i could hear my radio and myself think lol. but i guess its all in what people like. once again sharp truck, post some video of it running

On my 93 extended cab my stacks are very quiet inside as long as the rear slider is closed. With the side windows down it is still not to bad. When the truck is closed up it really is no louder in the truck then it was with stock muffler and pipes. It is strait piped.

Wish I could say that. With a load on the truck climing a grade I just about got to put ear plugs in. The whisle is ear pericing.

If I was hauling stuff I am sure it would be different. Just a play toy so no heavy work. I do plan on using it for hauling my old tractors to the antique tractor pulls. If it is real bad I will be muffin it.
