Hello all, I figured I would introduce myself. My name is Mark and I just recently got a 1992 D250 crunch cab long bed. Its a bit beat and dirty, but it has great potential. I haven't got any plans for it right now other than clean it up and make it nice.

Attached are a few pictures I took today.

Nice ride, Mark.

I'd love to have a 5 speed in mine.... preferably a 6spd.. Someday....

What is a "crunch cab" ? Do you have Captain Crunch cereal in there ? or are you just referencing your knees making noise because you can't stretch out as if you were in a club cab...?

Welcome to the crazy man's hangout .....

Crunch cab is my dads name for a standard cab. I like the smaller cab, but will be looking into a club cab in the next year or 2. I've got 2 kids and it can get a little tight in the cab.

On that same note, would a club cab and short bed fit on my frame? I know of a couple of gassers with bad engines but good bodies.

Visually, I like the "crunchy cab" much more than my C/C. Physically, it's a whole lot nicer having a place to throw my McDonalds wrappers out, as the back section works well for accumulating crapola.

Unfortunately, My dogs like the extra space in the cab, so I cannot go back to a regular cab, otherwise they told me they'd eat my shoes while I slept...

With about 600#s of English Mastiffs sitting the back seat of my crew cabs on any given day I know the feeling.
If I got a regular cab Daily Driver my shoes would be toast.

I would be worried about more than a pair of shoes if those dogs were mad, they were still babies when I saw them and they were huge! quite a welcome having four of them running at you.

That is a great truck to have, just like what I started with. Do you know what size exhaust housing it has, I think the early 92 had the huge 21cm housing. Mine had the 18cm but it was still quite slow with stock settings, a set of gauges and a couple turns on the pump and the truck wakes up alot, makes it much more fun to drive and I actually had better fuel mileage after tuning it all up.

There is lots of great info on here to bring out the true potential and have a good reliable truck. its a good feeling to have a completely mechanical vehicle that doesnt need to have any power to run.
