Yes, they are required to since it is a safety recall.

Just called my local dealership. They said if they can find a new pump still they will cover it. Took my number and told me they would call if they can find one. Hoping they can source one that would be great!

ya i just got mine done at dodge. they didnt have any mopar pumps left so the had to go to cummins and got a cummins reman pump. the only bad thing about the deal was they had my truck for 2 1/2 weeks and kept telling me it was going to be done on a certain day and would only take a few days. they told me that 4 times. heck, for free i didnt mind dealing with it. lol

I ran the vin on the D250 I used to have and it had a recall for the steering wheel that was never taken care of. Was hoping for a new IP but oh well.

Well got a call today about the injection pump. They said they need the truck to verify that the pump installed does not have the infinity sign on it even though it shows it needs to be replaced according to the vin number. I looked for the label on the injection pump but couldnt find a plate anywhere. Guess im going to have to drop it off and let them have to see whats going to happen. Dont know if it matters but my pump is BLACK and not Silver like some have said the repaired ones are?

Your pump is original, but that does not necessarily mean that it needs to be replaced under the recall. Gotta look for the symbol.

Well folks The Truck goes in on the 25 for the new I.p . Very worried but guess the timing is good It just started to drip...
Man i find it weird they didn't blink just said when is good considering with the second and third gens they automatically try to void your warranty before having to do pump work well fingers crossed

BE CAREFUL GUYS!!!!!!!! Unless you know the people in your local dodge dealer's shop, don't let them touch your truck. The local dodge dealer did the recal on my truck, didn't know *** he was doing and timed it wrong. He also knocked the pin that finds top dead center into the oil pan. I found it, and a bolt in the pan when I had it out. My exhaust seats all cracked and my head gasket blew when we ran the truck. I would never let another dealer touch one of my trucks ever again. My mechaninc had to time the IP when he put it back in by taking #1 injector out and using a dial indicator to find top dead center. Nice huh? That was before the head gasket blew. The expenses that this dealer cost me were more than it would have taken to buy a new pump and pay a diesel mechanic to put it on! Watch out!

No, it's on early intercooled trucks only.
