New to 1st gen, white smoke no power

Hey all, got a 93 2wd. Had for about 3 weeks and there's a lot of white smoke and not much power. I knew previous owner and he used for farm truck. He had a leaky pump on back side. Had someone remove pump and fix gasket on lower side against the motor where there is two torx screws. That's where I came into play. I bought it, got it home and white smoke like crazy, no power. I cleaned injectors to best of my knowledge. Changed fuel filter, and oil cause the oil level was rising due to fuel in oil. Coolant level hasnt dropped at all so I don't think it's an issue there. Suppose timing way off when pump got pulled. Looking for some help.

fuel in the oil could be 2 things.

1. lift pump leaking fuel into the crankcase (most likely)
2. front seal in injection pump leaking into the timing case and subsequently into the crankcase. (less likely)

i would address this issue first and then move from there. if it still persists, i would suspect air infiltration(most likely) or faulty injection pump(less likely)
