Need some help

Ok so I'm considering buying a 89-93 Dodge diesel. I really want that inline 6. My question is did they make that truck in a 4 door? Are the w 250's the only ones with 4 doors? If so did the w 250's come with the 5.9L cummins I6? Thanks for the help. Jason

they never made a 4 door diesel through 89-93, the biggest you could get was the extended cab. and the only diesel dodge has used until a couple of years ago was the 5.9L which was an inline 6

good luck with your search! there ARE conversions out there but beware of hack jobs. Your best bet is to make your own, and it will cost you less than buying a new truck!!! It will also be exactly what you want, not what study groups think we might possibly like.

Question

Any idea how difficult it would be to make my own extended cab? I'm assuming I would have to find a donor truck in the junk yard, and splice the cabs together but shorten the bed. But that means I would have to lenghten the frame unless I wanted a truck that was short. It almost seems easier and more cost effective to buy a w 250 and put a cummins I6 in it.

They made extended cabs... you would need to make a 4 door truck... every other configuration except a short bed or 4 door was made.

You can buy a crew cab truck and swap the diesel in

Use the search feature and do lots of reading. There's some crews over in the conversion forum. Lots of variables depending on what year and what you want to do.

I found a nice 68 CrewCab, with a little work it would be real nice

If interested PM me, i can lead you to where it is, for $500 it might be worth it to somebody.
