Looks like you got an overall clean engine and bay.

But you look like you got bad valve cover gaskets. No biggie. Just run down to the parts store, get 6 Fel-Pro gaskets and swap them out.

Better yet, get the gray ones from Cummins. And don't forget new o-rings for the bolts.

 

shoot, put that stuff on there and there goes your your external rustproofing system.

FSM says 18ft pounds. You gonna adjust 'em while you're in there?

You know i really should adjust them but i dont have the time i am doing it at a buddies shop to get it inspected. I am hoping to do it later when i have more time do you have to put new gaskets on when you take them off again to adjust the valves?? Thanks grandpa ralph i appreciate it man. Geez did all of the trucks like that come with no extra wiring across the firewall?

Does the cover on the valve cover serve any purpose other than a place to set wrenches?
