im new to cummins and would like any help thank u.....
its on a 96' drw 12v, i did have some oil build up but after towin a 11k fifth wheel from texas, it now blows oil all over belt and pass front wheel area. even now with out trailer it still does it. the truck had 171k when i bought it and it now has 173k. but like i said didnt start blowin oil till i pulled that trailer. thinkin that the stress on the truck towin broke threw the build up and now i have a leak.

kinda looks like mine. That top brightest bolt just to the left of your oil fill in your pic was loose on mine.... not just loose, about to fall out. That and my oil fill was all wet around the base so took some channel locks and got about a 1/4 turn on it. I haven't drivin yet to see though. I was messing around with it at 1: this am.
thanks all for the info. clutch1, if the pin has come out whats the fix/damage? nmorby, my filler tube was lose i could move the plastic washer, just hard to get a good turn in their. i just washed it the best i could ill keep an eye on it.
Looks exactly like my pin failure about 2 months ago... Get a buddy and 2 cases of beer, and a weekend free to fix it. Your pulling everything off the front of that truck all the way to the cam...

Then you need to replace the pin and repair any damage it caused coming out. The pin is there to keep the case aligned and is essential. There are actually two of them but only one has the tendency to come out.
