We ended up using chrome tape. The peal off kind. I know it's not gonna last forever, but probably the same 3 years. We did a small test strip and we could hardly get it off. So, I think it will last a while.

Paid $2900 and we have a little less than $4800 including purchase price.
Of course that doesn't include lots of hours of labor.
