mouse issues

had a mouse eat up a bunch of paper towels from behind the seat.(the tp towel roll) and i couldn't find the nest he chewed at least ten layers down into the paper towel roll and two inch wide swath and i couldn't figure out where he went with it. so i fire up the pickup and hook up the trailer to go for a short drive and (i checked under the hood don't want no turbo fires) i see flakes of paper coming out of the wiper grill works , so i run it up to sixty five or so to flush it out . saw a little in the hinge area of the door thought i was all done with it. so a week later i have to make a rocket run up I-5 and i am cruising along and opened the vent on the kick panel and I am sure i looked like a snow man in a snow globe. little paper chunks were flying all over so i opened both windows and shook as much off me as i could . sure got some strange looks on the the freeway.

You should have started your post by stating.

Please set down all beverage containers and swallow before reading any farther.

I almost lauched a dew across the monitor.

Oh i hate them things, I think i got one in my motor one time when i had my manifold and turbo off, I put paper towels in the ports and on cylinder #1 the paper towel was chewed up and i could see the tracks in the dust, I just started it up before i put my manifold and turbo so i didn't suck him through my new turbo.

Yes, which brand ??

And, what is the effectivity life, or how long before new ones have to be put out ??

I had a brand-new jumbo roll of Quilted Northern laying in the area behind the center console.

I found it gnawed completely to the core, with the resulting layers sort of peeled back and laying flat, and the card-board axle laying on top.

Tens of millions of little chicken-feather sized giblets imbedded in the carpet and my newly re-covered velour (velvet--whatever) seats.

No way could one little mouse have made such a mess all by hisself in one night; there had to have been hundreds of them.

Needless to say, my Quilted Northern now resides in a metal coffee-can.

I've used Bounce for years and the smell dissipates in short order. When your at the store, look at the front of the box before you buy. They have a gauge like display on the front of the box. The higher the number, the stronger the smell. Two or three last about a month.

I've got a 1984 Dodge W-150 that sits for weeks at a time sometimes. I had a little cheese thief build a nest in the heater plenum. I opened the little vent door by the passenger area and taped a section of heater hose to my shop vac and slurped most of it out. I did have to gently rake in there with a piece of wire to get some of it off the heater core.
