more air

what do you guys think i should do for my truck/ get the 60mm upgrade for my turbo or find a hx35? I only haul stuff once in a blue moon, so I wouldn't be worried about temps getting to hot with a smaller housing that the hx35 might come with. what would push more air? Thanks

60mm upgrade is a good upgrade on a non i/c truck , and you have an auto so your stock exh. housing is fine unless you personally think it spools slow

How do you have your asa intake hooking up to the stock turbo right now? the baby h1c's only have a 3" inlet on the turbo and i/c turbos are 4" so you'll just need to figure something out with your intake hose.

or get a 4" to 4" boot if you have a reducer right now.

Maybe you should save your money and get a BIG upgrade like a super hx40 or something, or get the 60mm h1c and then rig up an intercooler setup you know what i mean?

the asa came with a "boot" that went around the 3" housing that made it 4". so it would slide on. Arn't there issues with the hx40s exhaust housing size(like its to big to spool with major pump mods)? A hx40 would be nice. what motors do they come off of?
Thanks

As long as you get an HX40 with a 16cm housing it'll spool good. The HX40 to stay away from is the one with an 18cm housing. They only have two HX40 housings. 16 and 18.

I was referring to this- http://www.pdrdiesel.com/products/PD...s-1086-26.html you'd need a 4" DP and exhaust, they make for 1st gens now of course. www.stansheaders.com
i'm not sure what they come off of, You want a 60/65/16 with a T3 mount.

If you can't afford that, a 60mm upgrade from GDS would be good too
It would sound awesome and would lower your egt's so you can give 'er more fuel!

Stans doesn't sell just the dp.

www.sourceautomotive.com has the 1st gen hx35/h1c 4" downpipe for $170. It even has the little bend in it just like a factory 3" DP has.

Its way cheaper to make one. 2 90's, a peice of straight and weld the 3" flange onto the end of it. Like cut out a circle plate 4" and weld it to the downpipe with a 3" opening in the middle and weld the flange right to that.

idk. i know alwaysworking made a 4" dp and it didn't look hard
