Master cylinder questions

Almost every 1st gen hood I look under I notice a leaking brake master cylinder, including mine. Was there a fix/upgraded cover for this? Oh yeah, by the way...I had posted a topic on an annoying leak of mine a few months ago. This was right around the bell housing area. You all coached me and let me know it was the rear main seal, and sure enough, when I had the tranny and flex plate undone all I could see of the old rear main seal was the bare metal rings that surround/reinforce the seal, w/o any of the rubber material left. Yes, at the point of repair, it was leaking like an 8" round puddle for every 5 minute stop. Anyway, thanks for all the advise. Carmyne

You should be able to get a new cover. Might want to just replace the whole thing, they are pretty cheap. When I bought mine last year it was $25 with a $20 core charge.
