manual to auto remove the collum shifter

ok so i just picked up another rag to day and i got back home and i was looking at thing's and making a parts list of thing's i need and i was wondering what do you guys do that have converted do with the column shifter? and any other wires that are not used any more can i just take them out 100%. and another question on the clutch pedal there is a 2prong clip were does that plug into or connect to.

I left the column shifter on mine. Sometimes I like to pretend that I'm shifting wildely with it at stop lights. Other times I put the mic for my phone's hand's free on it. I think there's a pin in the bottom that you can pull and the thing will just come out.

The wire I believe you're talking about is the neutral safety switch. The sensor that decides your clutch is pushed in so you can safely start the truck. The one that came with my donor pedals was crap, so I just didn't use it. I'm the only one who drives my truck, so there's really no point in it.

That being said, when you pull your 727 it should have a neutral safety switch as well, so you'd just reroute it to the clutch pedal switch.

If you totally remove the column shift handle the collar that goes around the column will flop around. Mine was cut off even with the collar, so it still held things in "park" and doesn't move.

Here's what I did with my nubbin'.....

If you decide to do a column swap to a manual style - you have the option to consider of going with a later Tilt Wheel setup.
