How hard to remove the Transfercase Shifter?

How hard to remove the Transfercase Shifter while the transfercase is still in the truck? I removed the body lift and due to the 3" extension added to the shifter it hits the dash in 2wd. I can cut it out but I don't want to reweld it while its still IN the truck!

Thanks in advance!

I think there's (3) 9/16" bolts, a linkage rod that has to be popped off & then it will come down. You have to unscrew the **** so the shifter will go down through the boot.

2 bolts on the shifter to the tranny, and you pop the rod out of the bottom of the shifter. Hardest part will be getting the **** off the passenger compartment side of the rod.

Remove the dacal from the **** with a small screwdriver then with a 15mm socket remove the nut that holds the **** then remove thr **** go under the truck and pry the shift rod loose from the shifter then remove the two bolts from the side of the shifter 5/8 socket it will fall out the bottom.
