Congrats on a nice looking truck! I have an auto trans too and not impressed, I think I forsee a NV-4500 or 6 speed in my trucks future. Being an ole truck driver I think I'd be happier. Anyways nice truck and hope you enjoy it. BTW I'm new here too and you have alot of help on here if ya need it, great folks!

Try doing the band and line pressure adjustment along with a fluid and filter change on the trans, maybe it will improve?

I thought about that, but with over 300k on it and the previous owner never having it rebuilt, it's time.....

That was my logic, yea you already have the 518, but if you need to rebuild it anyway, why not get the benefit of lockup ( or better yet, pullin your own levers )

Don't be so sure, what is the OD doing that he says is a problem?

What does the fluid look like?
