lift pump install ?'s

so my lift pump is leaving a residual stain on my black and im guessing its bad. wannadiesel told me that i should look into replacing it soon. so i found one at napa for about 75 bucks. but how do i install it? do u attackit from the top or the bottom? is there going to be alot of fuel that leaks out? and when u put it on is there any specific way to put it in or should you just slap it on there? will it let air in the injector lines? hopefully theres some out there that knows what they are doing cause i dont

sincerely

nick

Through the fenderwell and/or from the top. Take off the tire for better access.

You will lose a little fuel, not a lot.

Scrape ALL the old gasket off.

Put some grease on the lever that rides on the cam lobe for break-in lube.

Before trying to start it, open the bleed screw above the filter and pump the primer lever until you get clear fuel. Close the bleed screw, start truck and enjoy.
