HELP: electrical issues?!?!?!?!

Hey guys, tonight my dash lights went out. my turn signals and hi-beam lights and low fuel light still work, but the gauges do not light up? also, at the same time my running lights in the rear of my truck went out, along with my plate lights, but the brake lights and turn signals still work back there. Then, my radio started to skip pretty good. what is wrong? i need this fixed asap.
thanks.

Replace all fusible links with a fuse box. My 91.5 started having electrical issues that made no sense. The guys here told me to do the same and untill I did, the probs continued. JMHO. Good luck!

Also, the horn stopped working?
This all happened at the same time?

what could be causing this? What is the big white thing on the fuse box? i wiggled this, and my rear running lights flickered back on for about a second?
thanks.

Take a look at the harness connector to the head light switch. Mine was melted along with the switch. Both are available at NAPA and other auto parts houses.

Thx for that Boatnik, ...any chance you have a p/n for the harness? I got a switch but when I got in there I found the harness block terminal worse than the switch. I've since installed a bunch of silly circuits with switches and fuses but this makes it so only I know how to work things, ...er, on second thought I'll leave it as is ...

Ryan, you need to pull the gauge cover from the dash, and then then remove the headlight pull ****.
To pull the ****, reach under teh dash to the rear of teh headlight switch, feel around and you'lleventually find a spring loaded pin. When it is pushed in, it releases teh **** and shaft the **** sits on, they will pull straight out from teh dash.
Once the **** is removed, loosen teh nut holding the switch inplace and you can then pull the switch out from under the dash.

First time you do this, its kinda a pain, butonce you see how it goes together, its really pretty simple.

have someextra fuses on hand, youll likely pop one as you pull the switch out.

OK, well it was not the switch? all running lights are out, and the horn does not work? is there a fuse block on the fender that controls these?
thanks.

Fuse #4 (cavity 14) controlls: tail lamps, parking lamps, side marker lamps, licence lamps, front and rear clearance lamps, radio intensity, and horns.
Do your "ait to start" and WIF lights ome on at all?
