Oregon Fuel injection for 64.60.
Thanks for posting that link. I just ordered the pump from these guys. $65 beats the heck out of $180. I have been putting off the Low Pressure Piston LP upgrade because I didn't want to spend that kind of money. I will be going to the Cummins parts dealer this week to get the other items that go with the install. I hope it will make a difference that I can feel.

I hope so. The IP should be happier after the upgrade at least.

I just talked to Mark and he said the fittings were different on this pump from an industrial app to our trucks. So do I need to order something in addition to the pump to make it fit?

You need a different fuel line to go up to the filter head. You can buy it from Cummins or make it out of fittings and hose.

I canceled my order for this pump from OFI after I found out it was a Delphi brand pump. That Delphi part # does not cross reference to the low pressure Cummins LP #. Delphi # HFP702 is cross referenced to Cummins # 3918076. I guess I'll have to cough up the cash for a true Cummins LP. Anyone have the latest part #'s? The latest #'s in the Sticky are from 2007, I think.

I just ordered all the parts for the piston pump from the local komatsu dealer.

I used all the Komatsu part numbers from the sticky and is roughly about the same price. He said all the parts had to come from the Kentucky warehouse.

I ordered another spacer and gaskets today from Peterbilt, they're getting them right from cummins.

Old numbers still good, New numbers that were bolded in the sticky did not come up from CUMMINS.

3914284 on the spacer. The extra 1's at the one get cut off. Its only a 7 digit number like most cummins stuff.

I already have the Piston LP on my truck, and have narrowed my fueling problem down to it being the problem. If I understood him right, he said the fitting on the top of the pump was different, meaning if I was putting it on a truck they'd have to change it out before shipping it. Maybe I mis-understood.

After reading the later posts, I'm wondering if I should cancel my order too!!

PapeCat - have you used this pump personally and vouch its the lower pressure pump?

When I asked the guy at OFI if it was the low pressure pump, he said yes, but did not seem to sure of it. I just didn't get a good feeling about it, and the part #'s didn't cross reference. I don't want to risk pushing out the seal with the wrong pump, just to save a little money.

You know guys, the PN is the PN... I've got 2 on order so I guess when they arrive I'll let you know.

The only way to REALLY know would be to open the bugger up and look to see if it has the smaller piston and sleeve inside with the smaller spring.

Yeah, I'm going to order one too. PN says it's the right one.
