Larger front wheel fender openings...
My truck started as dually farm truck, aluminum running board, goose neck hitch you name it. I could never stand the dually, it was so wide going off road was impossible. Since towing was not one of my primary requirements I converted to H1 hummer wheels and took off the dually fenders. This provided a nice big wheel openings, I can clear 37" tires with no problems.
I could never deal with the front wheel openings. Any tires of any size and you were rubbing. Installing a large amount lift was not something I was interested in. So with rusty rotted fenders and rusted inner fenders it was time to experiment. Using the rear opening as a template and the body lines as a guide I laid out the cuts.
I had planned to fold the cut edge over to make a new lip, and shrank the template 1" all the way around. I then modified a set of lineman pliers removing the cutting edge and started bending. I then realized I needed a stretcher, which I didn't have, so I modified another pair of pliers with flat on one edge and crimp on the other >|. When it squashes down it thins the metal slightly. With some time I was able to get the fender edged bent in.
After some hammer and dolly work I have them pretty good.
What I need help with is the inner fender. I think I am just going to have fab something but if anyone has other ideas please let men know. Thanks

What about inner fenders from a 70's dodge 500/600? They should work with some modification

Remove both inner and outer fenders.
cut inner fenders into ( guessing ) 6 pieces. layout inner pieces to fit outer fenders arc . Cut pie shaped pieces to to fit weld.
piece of cake.
Having a 2nd set of inners would be very helpfull for the layout

I did something similar to a '76 Ramcharger years ago.
I pop riveted steel from a 55 gallon drum to close the gap on the inner fender, work well for the years I owned it.
