IIRC one of the automatics can use heavy duty bands from the GM Turbo 400's. I have no idea which one I have. I just know it was rebuilt before I bought it. Same with the rear end.

Got trans back

Got truck in the garage.

And the trans is back in

filled it full of fluid. Busted it of and I’ll be dammed if this case wasn’t cracked on the opposite side. Just so everyone knows. I did not get this from Oliver. I actually found it locally. I talked to the guy this morning and he is getting another one and going to supply the gasket kit for it. It sucks. But I quess I’ll be really good at pulling out the trans.

That blows that you got another cracked case.

If he can not supply you with another one in good shape, I still have a few 47 RH options here in my shop.

I am glad to at least see you have been getting some "free" time to hang out in the shop and work on the fleet.

What cracks these usually? Is it from using them or? I've had 727s etc since 1980 and never seen a cracked one.

Holly stuff. I scored today

Ok it’s late. What the duck is the motor adapter called. Any way I didn’t think I had one left for a first gen. but I found it the other day. So I’m gonna put the 518 back in it till I get the 47rh back from another buddy that is trying to get it back together. The only reason I haven’t done this yet is because I didn’t want to spend the money to get a drive shaft. I’ll post pics over the weekend. The only thing that sucks is that I have already packed the garage but I got some buddies coming up in the morning. FREE HELP. Stay tuned for a quick fix.

I forgot. I got a factory drive shaft for free.

If it weren’t for bad luck I’d have none at all

Total failure. Pulled the 518 out of storage and somehow the shifter lever is all jacked up.
