Where exactly on the pass. side? Up front or back by #5 and #6?
It seems at some point in time after x number of heat cycles or years the sealing traces on the gaskets in certain areas go and let coolant out, mine was from corrosion between the head and gasket. I had it happen back by #5 and #6 already, my brothers truck was seeping by the thermostat housing and the other 93 seeps in the same spot.

You might want to check your timing. Mine had never been bothered, but it was at 23 degrees when I checked it......................................

Usually a head gasket fails to do one of the following:
  • Timing slipped resulting in an increase in cylinder pressure
  • Overheating
  • Improper torque on head bolts/studs
  • Installation error (head and/or block not prepped correctly)
  • Gasket flawed during manufacturing or installation

Looking at the gasket will most likely give you your answer. A lot will depend on where the failure is on the gasket.

I've bolded the area in your signature where I think the problem began though...
