Just got reminded why I love my truck
So I did some pretty serious pump work about a month ago and just go around to throwing some gauges on it the other day (glowshift 3 in1). I was very impressed , at the top of 4th gear I was pushin 32 lbs of boost, egts didnt get over 800, and with the stock lift pump fuel pressure got sucked down to 2psi so its time for an upgrade.
But just being a bone stock truck with only doing the free stuff I am very satisfied

Pre turbo and post turbo can be about 300* difference. Id move it to the manifold if it were me. Much more accurate. Just add 300* onto your egts for now to get a fairly accurate reading.
I bet at 32 psi boost your over 1400 pre turbo with no intercooler. I can get over 1400 with my 89 with the stock injectors,,, but I have a powerstroke intercooler, 4 inch exhaust, S300G turbo. You really better move it. I know people say there is only a 2 to 300 degree difference pre to post turbo, but I really think at 32 psi of boost its warmer then 800 + 300 ( 1100 )

I'm going to be the one to say...leave your Pyro where it is. Commercial trucks have been running post turbo pyro's for 50+ years with no detriment. You need to have a proper post turbo gauge though, but other then that it just requires a little more attention.
I have a post turbo as well...only about 3" from the V-band clamp...
