Is a first gen 1/2 ton bumper interchangeable?

I found a RC 1st gen 150 in a certain junkyard that has a sweet custom bumper. Will it work on a 250?

Thanks in advance

Alright I will!

They also have a couple V-10 trucks with autos. I might pickup a trans and adapter plate. If the price is right.

My son recently nabbed the smoothy bumper off of a 78 ext cab we had out back and put it on my (his?) 91. Looks pretty good, but barely extends past the center of the grille. Hope the grille survives!!!

This one I am looking at is more of a bull bar design. It is not a full on elk killer bumper. It's a little better than a stocker, but not too outrageous.

I was bored and starting shopping for OEM bumpers. They were just under $200 shipped to me. So I went to the junkyard and picked it up this beast today for about half. Needs a little trimming as it hits the intercooler right now. It weighs a good 100 lbs!

I picked up an OEM bumper from a RC at the junkyard for $50. Bolted right up. I know you got the answer already but just telling about my experience.

It's really hard to find a good bumper, let alone a first gen, let alone a junkyard in my area.

I think I will like this bumper. It will knock a deer down with no problem. The OEM bumper is like 10 pounds!

If you decide you don't like it, I've got a pretty good stock bumper on my 90 that I'd make ya a deal on for trade. I like that steel bumper.

By the way. Thanks again for the fuel pin. Maybe one of these days I'll actually get it off the shelf and put it in...

that is a kangaroo killer, oughta do the job great. I'm building one for mine right now out of 1/4" thick steel, it weighs probably at least 100 lbs. I'm thinking I'll make a grille guard that I can slide into it, or bolt or pin in and so I can put it in when I go through deer infested country and take it out for better looks.

These stock bumper are worthless, it'll bend in if you just look at it the wrong way.

It's out by Otto on Lane 43. The truck it came off of was a 1/2 ton though. I think I did see another first gen a few rows back but didn't check.

I got a rear bumper that sort of matches this new front so I hope it works out. You need to get that fuel pin in there! Takes 5 minutes

Yeah, I've got the gauges put in now, but I've been trying to fix all the electrical gremlins on it first. Headlights going out at 65 MPH wasn't fun...
