I'm running a full cooler tubz system. I didnt notice a increase but I did notice a decrease in my EGTs

 

I have the intake horn and all the tubes and intercooler from a 2nd gen. Close?

 

That works. I heard the 2nd gen intake horn flows the same as the coolertubz but I want something that bolts on. Did it help you mpg's?

 

Going from H1 to HX35, Non IC to IC which included the intake horn was all done at once. Yes it woke all out of my truck, but how much the horn alone did I couldn't tell you. It did bolt right on, Just had to rotate my intake plane 180 b/c I was non-intercooled before, had to add about 1-2 inches or so on to the drivers side tube, luckily I had a third tube laying around I could sacrafice.

 

Well I just got done installing the Cooler Tubs Shorty intake horn and it was well worth it. My egt's are 150f less cruising and its hard to break 600f when taking off now. I'll probably tow something this weekend and see how it goes but I don't think I'll be disappointed. After I ordered the owner, Tim, called me and made sure it was for the right application and answered any questions I had. Very good to deal with and anybody thinking about ordering cooler tubz should get them because it will make a difference on your truck.

 

I have dyno'd with a 24 valve intake horn. Then we shut the truck down and swaped in a set of cooltubz's. Down time was 15 minutes.

Both intake setups made the same power and torque. I had his 3" IC tube from the turbo to the IC also.

I did notice a slightly better responce in the 1600/1800 RPM range with the cooltubz's.

 

the thing i noticed most on my truck after coolertubz is how much cleaner my truck ran, it dropped the smoke output a lot! dropped egts a bit too, and looks awesome under the hood, people ask me all the time where i got them.
