hey guys lets say i bought a used injector pump but the pump wasnt locked down in the top dead position on the old mot but when i take my old pump off i put my motor on top dead center can i just turn the pump shaft till it lines up with the notch for the key way....or does the pump have to be timed .....

 

Nope no special timing....just line the keyway up on the IP with your motor's timing gear and install. The timing won't be spot on for factory timing, but then who really runs the factory timing anyway....
