a few second degree burn's on my right arm and back of head but I got lucky and got out before I got hurt worse . it wasn't fuel line that was all SS and was under car protected I think I blew a oil cooler or something At least I can say first time down 1/4 mile track last yr it did 13.56 at 100 mph

it happened today at 12 noon up in the high desert Apple Valley/Victorville area on Bear Valley road
running a 2332 with dual webber 48 IDA's had 187 hp at the rear wheel's it's now going to be the donor for my Son's bug we have or atleast the useable part's rest is going to scrap yard

It was 1 hell of a Hot Ride for as long as it lasted I was inside from boom to bailing out within 1 min or less

 

where on bear valley road, i was going north on hesperia road just after noon, and noticed a huge amount of traffic going south, backed up for 3 miles, like they closed b.v. road,
