to get someone to sell me a crew cab that they already have up for sale. What's up with that? They don't answer emails, or texts, or they do a couple times and then disappear. I mean do they want to sell it or not?

I don't know about them all, but the dude I told you to contact is a Navy Chief with the Sea Bees.
He is on call at all times for way more heavy stuff than playing around with old Dodge trucks.
He gets to do that on his off time, which can be spotty.

He was happily fixing up a '75 [IIRC] W-350 dump truck when I spoke with him last week, but who knows what his is up to by now.

I only emailed him yesterday so he's cool. I expect to wait a few days. Others tell me they'll send pics and never do or don't call me back after I've already talked them, I don't get it.

Sounds like CL for sure.

I don't get replies to at least half my email/txt inquiries.

The other side of it is... old-school rides often belong to old-school dudes... not necessarily tech-savvy individuals. Plus, every buy/sell website has warnings about online scams, and to deal locally.

Be careful. There have, been quite,a,few,"fake" CL ads where they get you to show up to some bogus address, and rob you... Or in a recent case, murder you for a fake Xbox sale.

If its listed. And sounds too good,to Be,true... It is.

My buddy at work had the same complaint. But then he came up with the idea that after they don't respond within a day he emails or texts them again simply saying "I'm trying to give you money". He says 99% of the time he gets a response with 5 minutes after that.

Stay tuned, I may have a winner. If any of you guys are looking for a crew cab I've found a few I'll turn you onto when my deal is done. Some are already converted and some are projects. There are 2 and 4WD trucks out there, autos and sticks. Some cool old 60's trucks as well that I would love to do but just don't have the ambition and time for right now. Not even sure why I'm buying a crew right now...Oh yeah now I remember. Because I need and must have one!
