If it has a T3 flange it will bolt right on. You may or may not have to reclock the housings to get everything lined up.

Don't see why you'd want to?

I don't want to but I heard on some ford cummins swaps you have to flip the manifold to get it to fit correctly

No reason to flip the manifold on a 1st gen for a HX40. You will need a 4" exhaust system.

Now have you done a IC swap on your truck. I don't see anything in your sig. You might have problems finding a HX40 for a boot connection.

Sadly no. I had a PS full aluminum cooler ready to go but times were tough and I needed to sell it. I was thinking of doing a custom cross over intake and W/M injection. It would be cheaper to fab that stuff up right now then an intercooler

Now my other issue is fuel. I think I'm pushing a lot of fuel for standard injectors (non-IC truck) and my pump isn't totaly maxed yet. Some guy was selling a 5 speed truck with an HX40 and stock sticks. Said it ran good. All I'm looking to do right now is tow and my poor little turbo is being beat and my egts are always high. I know I need a intercooler but I figure the hx40 and better crossover intake would help a lot.

Right now I have a 3inch downpipe then 3.5 all the way back. Would the 4 into 3.5 be that restricting?

there would be no point in a 4" DP if you're just going to reduce it back down to 3.5". if you have or get a 4" DP, might as well just build the rest of the system in 4". use flex pipe to go around the t-case.

Well I'd end up buying 4inch all the way back when I got the cash. Where would I get the flex pipe?
