I recently purchased a used CP3 off ebay with the intent of having it modded in the future. It was supposed to be off an 05. Comparing it to the one currently on my truck, it looks different. Everything kind of looks opposite of what it should be. Did he sell me a pump off a Duramax or are they different from 03 to 05? There is a tag on it just not sure what I should be looking for. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

I think this may be the part # 397 5701.

The Duramax CP3 is different. Also there are other versions of the CP3 for the Cummins that will not work on your Dodge 5.9.

 

There are some rear driven CP3's out there, that turn in the opposite direction.

 

Sorry. Can't figure out how to resize pic to post. However I just got off the phone with a Cummins tech. He said this pump came from either an ISC or an ISL engine, not an ISB like I was told. Looks like I'll have to file a claim with ebay to try to resolve this.
