How to tell if lift pump is done??
Tell me about it. I had one of 'em last night - in a VW Bettle, no less - in the second right lane flashing their lights at me going up that BIIIIGGGG hill out on 101 towards Simi Valley. Clearly, they couldn't read my left bumper sticker: "Size Matters" with a little ruler on it. My right bumper sticker also applied: "Watch Out for the Idiot Behind Me!" with an image of one car rear-ending another.
Normally, when people flash their lights at me, I punch the brakes. Hey, I must have something getting ready to fall off and they are being good Samaritans and trying to tell me about it, right? Well, in this case, just letting off the pedal (completely) was enough to get them to pass in a real hurry, horn blaring and finger waving. If you want to drive 80 MPH, get in the hammer lane.
Somewhere there is a Hooters Casino, I heard an ad on the radio for it the other day. I hear if you get a jackpot, you get to take a waitress home.
I had never heard of that until I mentioned to some friends I was gonna spend winter in SoCal, then everyone told me "Oh, you HAVE to eat at In 'n Out". So when I finally saw one I pulled in and ordered my burgers, other than them being fairly cheap, I didn't find anything special about them. Maybe you can tell me what I am failing to appreciate.

We usually eat at In-N-Out at least once a week but I am not sure why.
The food is good, fresh and the place is clean but I don't really get excited about it.
It is a homegrown company started in 1948 only a few miles from where I live that has a simple menu that has lasted.

No, we ain't hardly in such a hurry where eating is concerned.
We frequent a place where we can walk through the herd, hand-pick the steer, and eat our salad and appetizers while they slaughter and cook it to order; I always take home a doggie-bag for snacking later. Two of us can usually eat there for around thirty-bucks; a little steep, but it is good.

I know the type of places BK is talking about- few of them left around here, too. No hurry to get done eating, usually have to wait a little bit for a table. WE have a catwalk above the herd to avoid soiling our shoes
.
I got taken to a Hooters in KY (maybe that was the whole problem) one time. Food wasnt anything horrible or great, and most of the women I've dated were better looking than the ones in this particular establishment. In fact, the best looking woman there was a manger- full length jeans and a sweater.
