Hotwiring my KSB
I'm really bad at wiring, so please help me out!
So I'm going to hotwire my KSB with an in cab toggle switch (right near the water/meth switch ). I can see one wire that goes to the KSB and it comes from a sensor in the intake. I'd assume that this is a temperature sensor and it activates the KSB when its cold. I know that I need to apply 12V to the KSB for it to operate. I guess my only question is, where can I get this from? Can I just cut the wire from the KSB to the intake and get 12V from somewhere else? I'm a wiring dummy .
Also, the 2 wires that are on top of the shutdown solenoid, can I just take them off? My shutdown solenoid is gutted.
Thanks for any help.

Let me see if I am getting this right. Take the two wires on the solenoid and tie them into one of the switch wires. Then take the other wire in the switch and connect it to the KSB. Is that right? I appreciate the help!

Just wired it like was stated above. Both solenoid wires into one of the switch wires and the other switch wire goes to the KSB. Should I be able to tell a difference when I switch the KSB on? I can't tell a difference, atleast from the sound, anyway. Sounds the same whether the switch is on or off. Maybe my KSB is dead?

Energizing the KSB at the same time the water/meth is pumping seems like a really good idea to me, as the water/meth slows down the burn, but mine doesn't seem to do anything once the truck is warm if I a hot wire to it. I was hoping I would be able to get some extra timing out of it for just that purpose.

From what I've read, the KSB advances timing and increases the amount of fuel for cold starts. Old Smoky said here that you can gain up to 40 horse from this.
