Well, The pump from back east STILL hasn't arrived (I think I paid for some goomba's christmas present), so back to working with what I have. I fired the '93 up and evaluated the throttle shaft leak again, drip, drip drip, about 1 per second, definately from the throttle shaft. Decided WTH, and started wiggling and goosing the throttle, and it stopped leaking!!! Wiped everything down good to make sure, and it stayed dry, YEA!! I'm running again. Still cant drive it as the tabs have expired adn I need to pass emissions to get registered here in Washinton, so up to DOL, buy a trip permit, and take it to the Emission ****'s. Need 40% opacity to pass, last 2 tests were 70 and 65 %. I tried to feather it up, but the computer caught me on the clearing snaps at 2640 rpm peak, so I had to hit that mark to proceed with the test. Finally got thru with the test and got the results... 80%..... ****...

I've got an appointment at the Power Shop in Enumclaw on 7 Jan to have them look at it and see what's going on... He's planning to pressure check the hi pressure side of the inlet system, adn if that's good tweak on teh pump to clean it up. I'm hoping that it all works...

Just got back from having the truck checked out, and they gave it a clean bill of health, for the most part. Have several minor issues that I already knew about (minor leaks/wiring issues/etc).

Biggest thing they said about the excessive smoke is that the pump and injector mods are throwing too much fuel at low boost, but seem to work really well over 12 psi. Their suggestion is to switch to a 12cm wastegated hot side, and that should take care of the problem. The other option is to severly de-tune the pump to try to get it to pass emissions.

Thoughts??

I wouldn't argue against that. You should be able to tune the bottom end smoke out with the smoke screw and the star wheel, though.
