A rookie looking for some help

Great forum first off! Learn something every time I log on.
I have a 2001 3500 dw QC 5.9 with just over 200k on it, use it to tow a 40 ft. toybox and need more get up and go! I am looking to ad on the mods you all talk about but need some guidance. I installed the edge comp box but have not plugged it in cause I don't want to fry my IP. I am using the quadzilla commander to monitor all but it is somewhat unreliable as it jumps all over the place. I am on my third lp (stock) so I am thinking the IP is on its way out, so the first two items are a new IP and a fass pump. I am also thinking that new injectors will help to wake up the truck but as it is still stock, which ones can I use?
I want to have a reliable truck when I am done with enough torque and HP to get the job done. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.

The FASS or Airdog, a set of Don M's Mach 1.6's and running the comp without tapping the wire as an EZ will probably be all your stock clutch will want. And that will make a great towing set-up as well as maxing out your stock chargers capabilities. The RV275 injectors also work really well in the 6 speed HO engines and are a cheaper alternative to the Machs.

All good suggestions so far. Something like the Mach 1.6s and the EZ will likely be all your stock clutch wants, especially if you're towing heavy. If you replace the clutch with something stronger, you can tap the wire on the Comp and use all the levels there and just stay within the range of the stock turbo (while unloaded).

I used to run DD2 injectors (~90hp) and the EZ and would consistently put down right at 350hp at the wheels. It was a good combo for towing with the stock turbo as I didn't have to worry much at all about EGTS (unless I just decided to lug it hard instead of shifting).

The HOs really respond well to injectors while the SO truck respond better to the electronics.

I think if you use any power box with injectors like 1.6s your truck will smoke a lot in any gear on uphills towing a 40 ft trailer.
I turn off the box I have when towing but I love the Mach 1.6 I have. I used to have RV275 and suggest that you skip them and go to Mach injectors directly. The only thing you will miss is a personal experience with a mediocre injector that gives a bit of power but hardly worth mentioning.
After the mods I have made I think a twin turbo set or perhaps a HE351 turbo would be the next best mod after a good set of injectors.

Where can I find these injectors? I have been looking around on the web and have not run across them yet.

Commander is his guages

When you say they are jumping around do you mean the fuel presure or all of them. THe fuel presure sensors are known to go out and Quadzilla is supposedly comming up with a new system.

the fuel does jump a bit but I have installed a needle valve and it has settled down a bit. The EGT bounces from a 1300 to 1800 at start up (cold), down to 117 when warm at a stop light! Go figure. I am thinking about replacing the quad with gauges on the pillar if I cannot trust what it is telling me.

I have been considering a Commander for gauges, and it is reports like this that turned me off. I think I will set up the simplest and most reliable gauges in my truck, even though the quad's unit is very attractive. I love my mechanical fuel pressure gauges - can diagnose anything on the low pressure side with them.
