Help with making piston pump line

Trying to make my own line that goes from the Piston pump to the filter head.. instead of buying the one from Cummins or whatever, i want to avoid the banjo.

I need (i think) M12x1.5 -6AN 90* fitting, then to 3/8 hose barb......... and M14x1.5 -6AN straight** fitting wfor down off the pump.... has to go to 3/8 fuel line (soft rubber)

Its so simple but i can't find anywhere that sells exactly what im looking for.

Anyone who has done this I need your help. Pictures? Links? Am i right about everything i need?? I've talked to wannadiesel several times about this and pretty sure i know what i need but can't find it!

Thanks
Brandon

You're going to have to use a straight m12x1.5 - -6 AN adapter, then a -6 90 degree hose barb. I've never seen a right angle adapter like you want.

The line is only like 30 bucks. I was going to make mine too but for the money its easier to just get the line.

Because its not just "30 bucks" , They want $33 plus $15 to ship it, Yes thats right. The PB dealer is in my hometown and yet they charge us shipping, getting it from the supplier to the dealer.

Figured I'd save some money, and get better flow. Ok?

Brandon have you priced the parts you need the way you are wanting to do this? The parts might cost as much as the line and shipping. I don't know this but the way it normally works out for me when I want to "new and improve" something it cost me more than the original. I understand why you want to do this but is the cost close to being the same? Anyways good luck with it.

If you go on glacier Diesel site they have all the fittings you need. Yes, you have to wait for shipping, but I don't remember the total being that bad. I was able to find some of my fittings at the local CarQuest, but some your just gonna have to order. Good Luck!

#1 post - 1st pic.....
The fuel line into the IP ----

I just bought parts to do the same plus some extras going back to my electric pump and filter ---- Cost just over $35 then the fuel line.

Now I need to drop my tank and rework the fuel pickup ....First I'm going to try to find the pickup unit so I don't have to destroy mine and be left with out the parts to keep the truck running.

Corrected the link Don't know how the link got copied wrong....
Dang computers !!!

Yep on the parts. That's the only piece I had to order. Seems like nobody in Michigan has parts that are metric Motor Capital

I'm going for broke though....My parts are AN10's and the input to the pump is going to be a 14mm instead of a 12mm...
I figure IF I upgrade to more performance I don't want to replace ALL the parts, just a few. Larger lines won't hurt as long as I keep total pressure down.

Vulcan Performance sells all of the wacky fitting you need to make the line yourself. Check their website under fuel systems and fittings.
