Fuel Line for Piston Lift Pump.

Can the existing fuel line on a 90 Dodge be bent to fit the Piston Lift Pump discharge instead of buying part number 3914753?

I just used a M14x1.5 to AN-06 adapter and ran socketless hose. Piece of cake.
