heater grid ?
I'm looking to set my heater grid to turn on with a switch instead of the ignition, how would I go about doing it, which wires do I need to hook to the switch? Thanks in advanced for the help.

No, I haven't done it and since i don't drive my truck in the Winter mine are disconnected.
The two smaller wires on the relay are the DC coil operating wires. Both are normally above ground potential. One side gets +12 Volts and the other side goes to ground. If you plan on doing this use a push button switch or a momentary toggle switch. Do not use a maintained position switch. Make sure the switch circuit's +12 Volts is fused in a way that if the wire should rub through at the firewall and short out it will cause the fuse to blow.

Thanks for the info. I just figured out that the blue wires are the trigger wires, but I nees to figure out how to hook them to the switch. The only reason I'm doing this is because the grid comes on when I'm going down the road and it dimms my lights, and I don't want that.

Triggering grids on the early ones simply means dragging the trigger wire to ground, so all you really have to do is remove the trigger wires from the solenoids, and running a wire from them trough a switch to a suitable ground. You could use a single pushbutton to bring both in, or 2 to trigger them individually.

The grid heaters should stop cycling after a few minutes of run time. If they are cycling once it's showing any temperature at all on the gauge, they aren't working right.
