Heater/AC controls & wiring.
Heater/AC controls & wiring.
2 Questions really. One, anyone know where to get the actual control assembly for the AC/Heater? mine works but the print is faded off of it, and in the midst of trying to rework this thing I'd hate for that to be the only thing that looks like crud.
Two. The wiring for the heater/AC controls, and the vacuum line routing, mine have all but disenigrated. I'm rewiring the truck now and I have a haynes manual with wiring schematics in the back, but they leave alot to be desired so I wondered if there was any way to get just a seperate schematic for the AC system, still wondering whether I'm keeping the AC even, depends on how much work it'll be to fix it. Thanks,

Unfortunately a link directly to the part on that site won't function.
Click on the "oem catalog" and use the "mechanical parts" tool to look up the part. You are not gonna believe the price on this thing, I might buy one for a spare! These guys charge what the dealer charges commercial accounts (net), so you might want to try your local dealer to save on shipping, it'll work out cheaper if you can get the dealer to charge you net instead of gross.

Call them and see if you can get a FSM for your '90. That will make things easy.
The Haynes manuals suck. The FSM is pricey but worth every penny.

Mine has the pushbutton unit that was broken at both ends and the fan switch was just hanging in the air. I fabbed some aluminum brackets from .060 sheet and pop riveted to the plastic. The lettering is a back lit plastic that hasn't faded and it otherwise works fine. The plastic dashboard area was all broken from past radio mounting inexpertness but JB-weld fixed that nicely.
If anyone has an intact bezel for sale I'd be interested.
Just my .03 worth.

Edwin, do some checking on the site I posted above. The dash parts are in the collision catalog. I think you may be pleasantly surprised on the price, especially if you don't have A/C.
